Where it All Started
Where it All Started
Out story began in 1991 when the original FLAGGOTS of NYC, Philadelphia, and New Jersey debuted in the New York City Pride Parade. The FLAGGOTS ignited the formation of Pride color guards all over the globe. These "spin off" teams have become a beloved staple in Pride festivals and parades across the United States.
Coming to Denver
Coming to Denver
In 2015 our founder, Travis Prud'homme, brought the Pride Guard traidtion to the Queen City of the Plains. Travis assembled a small but mighty group of 12 performers, and Flaggots Denver was born. Flaggots Denver, also known as "Colorado Color Guard All-Stars", provided a space for adult performers to rediscover their love of color guard through fun, over-the-top, high-energy performances. Sadly, Travis Passed away in 2017. The surviving members vowed to carry on Travis's "FIERZE" legacy. Since then, Flaggots Denver have become a perennial favorite in the Denver Pride Parade. Everything we do is a tribute to what Travis built.

Becoming a nonprofit
In 2026, we incorporated as Colorado Pride Guard, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization so we can continue to create joyful, inlcusive color guard expereinces that uplit LGBTQ+ adults and allies across the Rocky Mountain region. Colorado Pride Guard continues to produce the Flaggots Denver ensemble, and we look forward to adding new ensembles under the Colorado Pride Guard umbrella.
